VOLKAN 6T

The Volkan 6T tractor trailer is a single-axle trailer with a 6,000 kg capacity, the second-largest model in the Volkan range, just below the largest 8-tonne model. The box is 350 cm long, 210 cm wide and 90 cm tall, with sides totalling 50 cm plus an additional 40 cm — the same side height as the smaller 5-tonne model, but with a larger box footprint in length and width. Unloading is by 3-way tipping — to the rear and to both sides — via a hydraulic cylinder with 4 sections. The braking system is hydraulic or air (pneumatic), matched to the greater weight of a full trailer compared to the smaller models. The trailer is fitted with a complete set of lighting equipment, as well as a support leg. Tyres are sized 12.5/80×15.3, larger than the tyres on the 5-tonne model (11.5/80×15.3), in line with the greater capacity. Compared to the PRONAR T654/2 model of similar capacity (6,100 kg gross) in the same range, the Volkan 6T has a wider box (210 cm vs. 182 cm on Pronar's trapezoidal box), while the Pronar offers more thoroughly specified standard equipment such as central locking and a cutting-off valve. Both models are a solid choice for farms needing roughly 6-tonne capacity with 3-way tipping. The larger tyres compared to the 5-tonne model contribute to better load-bearing per wheel and stability when transporting a full load over uneven terrain, while the 4-section cylinder provides sufficient stroke to fully lift the box even at this greater capacity. Choosing between the two roughly-6-tonne options ultimately comes down to whether the buyer values the Volkan's wider load area or the Pronar's more elaborate standard-equipment list, since both cover the same capacity bracket.
