URT HF 168

The Del Morino URT HF 168 is a rotary tiller, made in Italy, the smallest model in the URT HF line, designed for preparing soil for sowing by chopping and crumbling the ground to the worked depth. The rotor is driven by a chain running in an oil bath, with an automatic tensioner that maintains constant chain tension and extends its working life with reduced wear compared to a dry chain drive. Working width is 168 cm (67”), while the overall machine width is 180 cm (72”). The rotor is fitted with 36 blades, arranged 4 per flange, with the option to upgrade to 6 blades per flange for more intensive tilling. Maximum working depth is 19 cm (8”), sufficient for thorough soil preparation before sowing. The attachment frame is category 2, sturdier than the category 1 used on the Ginger mulchers, matching the greater loads typical of soil tillage. The machine mounts to the tractor via a 3-point hitch, with the PTO shaft turning at 540 rpm. Adjustable depth skids allow precise, repeatable depth adjustment across the whole plot, without frequent manual corrections. Operation requires a tractor of 30 to 70 HP. As the smallest model in the URT HF line, this tiller is a suitable choice for smaller fields and garden plots needing quality soil preparation without investing in the larger, more expensive models in the same range. The oil-bath chain drive, rather than a dry chain, considerably reduces wear and extends servicing intervals, while the optional upgrade to 6 blades per flange allows finer soil crumbling on more demanding, denser soils.
