URT ED 96

The Del Morino URT ED 96 is a side-shift rotary tiller, made in Italy, the smallest model in the URT ED line. The ability to shift the working head sideways relative to the tractor allows tilling along plot edges, fences or rows of plantings without the tractor's wheels needing to cross already-worked or sensitive ground — a feature the URT HF line doesn't have. The rotor is driven by a chain running in an oil bath, reducing wear and extending the drive system's working life. Working width is 96 cm (38”), while the overall machine width is 110 cm (44”). The rotor is fitted with 20 blades, arranged 4 per flange, with the option to upgrade to 6 blades per flange. Maximum working depth is 18 cm (7”), somewhat shallower than the URT HF line (19 cm), but still sufficient for thorough soil preparation. Machine weight is approximately 206 kg. The attachment frame covers both category 1 and category 2, wider than the URT HF line (category 2 only), making this machine compatible with a broader range of tractors. Operation requires a tractor of 20 to 50 HP, lower than the URT HF line (30-70 HP), in line with the smaller working width and lighter construction. As the smallest model in the URT ED line, this tiller is a suitable choice for smaller orchards, vineyards and garden plots where the sideways offset is particularly useful. The optional upgrade to 6 blades per flange allows finer soil crumbling on more demanding soils, while compatibility with both attachment-frame categories eases the tractor choice regardless of its hitch class.
