URT ED 168

The Del Morino URT ED 168 is a side-shift rotary tiller, made in Italy, the largest model in the URT ED line. The ability to shift the working head sideways allows tilling along plot edges without the tractor's wheels needing to cross worked ground. The rotor is driven by a chain running in an oil bath. Working width is 168 cm (67”), while the overall machine width is 185 cm (74”) — the largest dimensions across the entire URT ED line. The rotor is fitted with 36 blades, the most in the line, arranged 4 per flange, with the option to upgrade to 6 blades per flange. Maximum working depth is 18 cm (7”). Machine weight is approximately 266 kg, the highest in the line. The attachment frame covers both category 1 and category 2. Operation requires a tractor of 20 to 50 HP, the same range as all models in the line. Interestingly, a model of the same working width (168 cm) also exists in the URT HF line, which lacks the sideways-offset ability but offers a greater maximum working depth (19 cm vs. 18 cm) and a wider required-power range (30-70 HP vs. 20-50 HP) — the choice between the two lines of the same width depends on whether sideways offset along plot edges is a priority over maximum working depth and power. As the largest and most versatile model in the URT ED line, this tiller combines the greatest working width with the sideways-offset ability, making it particularly useful for working the edges of larger orchard or vineyard plots. The oil-bath chain drive ensures reliable, long-lasting operation, and compatibility with hitch categories 1 and 2 eases choosing a suitable tractor.
