URT ED 114

The Del Morino URT ED 114 is a side-shift rotary tiller, made in Italy, the second-smallest model in the URT ED line. The ability to shift the working head sideways allows tilling along plot edges without the tractor's wheels needing to cross worked ground. The rotor is driven by a chain running in an oil bath. Working width is 114 cm (46”), while the overall machine width is 130 cm (52”). The rotor is fitted with 24 blades, arranged 4 per flange, with the option to upgrade to 6 blades per flange. Maximum working depth is 18 cm (7”), the same as the other models in the line. Machine weight is approximately 218 kg, somewhat more than the 96 model (206 kg), in line with the wider working surface. The attachment frame covers both category 1 and category 2. Operation requires a tractor of 20 to 50 HP, the same range as all models in the URT ED line, confirming that working width here primarily affects working output rather than the minimum power requirement. The greater working width compared to the 96 model makes the URT ED 114 a suitable choice for somewhat larger orchards and vineyards where covering a bigger area per pass is desirable, while retaining the ability to shift the working head sideways along plantings. The oil-bath chain drive reduces wear on the drive system compared to a dry chain drive, while compatibility with hitch categories 1 and 2 eases use across a wider range of tractors. The 18 cm maximum working depth stays consistent with the smaller model, ensuring the same soil-preparation quality regardless of the working width chosen.
