Grillo GF3

The Grillo GF3 is a sickle-bar mower intended for cutting grass and light vegetation, the base version within the GF3 line, without the differential lock that the GF3 DF variant has. It is fitted with the same TIROL central cutter bar with an active crank, 115 cm wide (code 9L7811/998211), and the same choice of three engines as the DF variant: Loncin G300 FA with recoil start (302 cc, 9.3 HP), Honda GX270 OHV with recoil start (270 cc, 8.4 HP), and a Norwik SH178FA diesel engine (306 cc, 5.3 HP). Tank capacity is 6.1 liters for the Loncin G300 FA engine, 5.3 liters for the Honda GX270 OHV, or 3.5 liters for the Norwik SH178FA diesel. Drive runs through gears in a small oil bath, with a gearbox offering 3 forward speeds and 3 reverse, and a cone-type active clutch. The P.T.O. runs at 965 rpm counter-clockwise. Unlike the GF3 DF, this base version has no differential lock, making it somewhat simpler to handle on flatter terrain, but less suited to work on steep or uneven slopes where controlled turning matters. The same pneumatic tractor tires as the DF variant are available: 4.00-8 with fixed discs, 4.00-10 and 5.00-10 with adjustable discs, and pneumatic grass tires 20x10.00-8. The handlebar is height- and side-adjustable, mounted on anti-vibration blocks. Brakes are drum-type, and the safety system includes an active cone clutch compliant with regulations. Machine weight is 105 kg, seven kilograms less than the GF3 DF variant (112 kg) thanks to the omitted differential lock. The Grillo GF3 is intended for users for whom a reliable, simpler mower is sufficient for regular mowing on mostly flat or gently sloped areas, without the need for the extra differential control offered by the pricier DF variant.
