The Grillo Climber 10 AWD 27 is a unique hillside ride-on mower intended for work on steep slopes and low-grip surfaces, where standard mowers cannot operate safely. Permanent drive to all four wheels, combined with a Briggs & Stratton Series 8270 Commercial engine of 27 HP (net power 22 HP, 16.2 kW, 724 cc, 2 cylinders), delivers excellent performance on tall grass and brush up to 2.5 cm in diameter, making the machine suited to agricultural and professional use. The engine starts via a 12V electric starter, is air-cooled, and tank capacity is 13 liters, with a fuel level indicator on the cap. The machine's compact dimensions (length 206 cm, width 108 cm, height 118.5 cm) are designed to improve performance on slopes, while a Kanzaki hydrostatic transmission with a differential lock on the rear axle (pedal-operated) ensures operation with maximum safety and stability. The deck, with rear/side discharge, has a cutting width of 98 cm and an impact-resistant floating blade, while cutting height is adjusted from 35 to 135 mm via a lever - the deck stops at the chosen position when the lever is released. Blade tip speed is 87 m/s, and the blades are engaged via an electric switch near the steering wheel, through an electromagnetic clutch fitted with a blade brake. The blade has double cutting edges that retract on impact and can be flipped when one side wears out. The front wheels are sized 16x6.50-8, and the rear 20x10.00-8, both TRACTOR-rated for good grip on uneven terrain. Travel speed is continuously variable from 0 to 9 km/h forward and 0 to 8 km/h reverse, with a turning radius of just 70 cm. The service brake acts on the front wheels via a pedal, and the parking brake on the rear wheels via a lever. Mowing capacity is 7500 m² per hour. The seat is low and adjustable, with a roll bar and shock absorbers. The front axle is hydraulically steered and tilts, providing drive to all four wheels and preventing wheel slip through corners.
