GINGER 80

The Del Morino Ginger 80 is a compact mulcher, made in Italy, the smallest and lightest model in the Ginger line, designed for the smallest compact and garden tractors. Unlike the Flipper and Flipper Super lines, which use cast iron, the Ginger's gearbox is made of aluminium, further reducing overall machine weight. Power is transmitted via a two-belt transmission with an automatic tensioner — a simpler construction than the three belts used on the Flipper lines, in line with this compact series' lower power requirements. Working width is 80 cm (32”), while the overall machine width is 96 cm (38”). The rotor is fitted with 24 Y-blades or 12 flails, depending on the configuration chosen, able to chop branches up to 2.5 cm in diameter — thinner branches than the Flipper lines (5 cm), matching its intended use on lighter, grassier terrain. The gearbox runs at 540 rpm. The attachment frame is category 1, and the machine mounts to the tractor via a 3-point hitch. The rear roller is height-adjustable across three positions, allowing precise control of mowing height. Machine weight is just 115 kg, the lightest across the entire Del Morino mulcher range. Required tractor power ranges from 12 to 30 HP, considerably lower than the Flipper line (15-70 HP), making the Ginger 80 an ideal choice for garden tractors and the smallest compact tractors, for which the larger Flipper machines wouldn't be suitable either by weight or power requirement. The three-position rear roller allows mowing height to be precisely tailored, from low lawn maintenance to somewhat taller, denser vegetation, while the simpler two-belt transmission eases maintenance and reduces servicing costs compared to the three-belt systems on the Flipper lines.
