FLIPPER 80

The Del Morino Flipper 80 is a mulcher, made in Italy, the smallest and most compact model in the standard Flipper line, designed for smaller tractors and narrow working spaces such as orchards and vineyards. Unlike the offset Flipper Super line, the Flipper is fixed-centred relative to the tractor. Working width is 80 cm (32”), while the overall machine width is 100 cm (40”). Power is transmitted via a three-belt transmission with an automatic tensioner, which absorbs shock loads and extends belt life. The rotor is fitted with 24 Y-blades or 12 flails, depending on the configuration chosen, able to chop branches up to 5 cm in diameter. The gearbox is made of cast iron, runs at 540 rpm, is fitted with a freewheel device that protects the drive system from kickback if the rotor suddenly stops, as well as a through-shaft allowing further drive transfer to a potential additional attachment. The rear roller is height-adjustable, allowing precise control of mowing height depending on terrain and vegetation type. The machine mounts to the tractor via a 3-point hitch, categories 1 and 2. Machine weight is 176 kg, the lightest in the entire Flipper line. Required tractor power spans a wide range of 15 to 70 HP, considerably lower than the Flipper Super line (50-80 HP), making the Flipper 80 accessible even to the smallest compact tractors and higher-power two-wheel tractors. The gearbox's through-shaft is a particularly useful feature for users wanting to simultaneously drive an additional attachment behind the mulcher, while the compact 80 cm working width allows maneuvering between rows in orchards and vineyards where wider mulchers couldn't pass.
