FLIPPER 214

The Del Morino Flipper 214 is a mulcher, made in Italy, the largest model in the standard, fixed-centre Flipper line. Working width is 214 cm (85”), and overall machine width is 230 cm (92”) — the largest dimensions in the entire line. Power is transmitted via a three-belt transmission with an automatic tensioner, absorbing shock loads when processing denser vegetation across such a wide working surface. The rotor is fitted with as many as 64 Y-blades or 32 flails, the most in the line, able to chop branches up to 5 cm in diameter. The gearbox is made of cast iron, runs at 540 rpm, is fitted with a freewheel device and a through-shaft allowing further drive transfer to a potential additional attachment. The rear roller is height-adjustable, allowing precise control of mowing height. The machine mounts to the tractor via a 3-point hitch, categories 1 and 2. Machine weight is 438 kg, the highest in the line, in line with the widest working surface and greatest blade count. Required tractor power remains in the same 15 to 70 HP range as the other models, but given the greatest working width in the range, it's advisable to use a tractor toward the upper end of this range to maintain efficient working speed and chopping quality across the full rotor width. As the largest model in the standard Flipper line, the 214 is a practical alternative to the offset Flipper Super series for users who prioritize maximum working width per pass over the ability to shift the working head sideways.
