FLIPPER 158

The Del Morino Flipper 158 is a mulcher, made in Italy, from the standard, fixed-centre Flipper line. Working width is 158 cm (62”), while the overall machine width is 180 cm (72”). Power is transmitted via a three-belt transmission with an automatic tensioner. The rotor is fitted with 48 Y-blades or 24 flails, depending on the configuration chosen, able to chop branches up to 5 cm in diameter. The gearbox is made of cast iron, runs at 540 rpm, is fitted with a freewheel device and a through-shaft allowing further drive transfer to a potential additional attachment. The rear roller is height-adjustable, allowing precise control of mowing height depending on terrain and vegetation type. The machine mounts to the tractor via a 3-point hitch, categories 1 and 2. Machine weight is 288 kg. Required tractor power remains in the same wide 15 to 70 HP range as all models in the line, providing flexibility in tractor choice regardless of working width. As with the other models in this series, a working width of 158 cm covers a larger area per pass than the smaller models (80, 106, 132), making it suited to medium-sized plots where a balance between working output and manoeuvring around obstacles is desirable. The same 158 cm working-width model also exists in the offset Flipper Super line, where it has considerably greater weight (492 kg) due to the additional sideways-offset mechanism, while this standard model remains a lighter, simpler, more accessible choice when the offset function isn't needed.
