Sunce

The Celmak Sunce is a finger-wheel hay rake, designed both for gathering mown grass into a swath and for turning it to promote more even, faster drying in sun and wind — hence the machine's name ("Sunce" meaning "sun"). Working width is 2.4 m, somewhat narrower than the rotary rake in the same range, but with a considerably higher working output of 4 hectares per hour, thanks to its operating principle using several independent collecting wheels that easily adapt to terrain unevenness. Gathering and turning are handled by 4 collecting wheels, each fitted with 40 collecting elements (wires), which gently catch and turn the mown grass without breaking the leaves and losing the feed's nutritional value. A greater number of independent wheels, compared to the single rotor used in rotary rakes, allows the machine to follow terrain contours more closely, particularly useful on uneven or gently undulating meadows. The machine is manufactured in Turkey, as part of the broader Celmak range of farm machinery for preparing livestock feed. Thanks to the combination of a solid working width and high working output, the Sunce is an efficient solution for farms needing to process larger mown areas quickly, particularly during the hay-turning stage when the drying window is limited by favourable weather. Compared to rotary rakes with a single rotor, the multi-wheel system handles young grass shoots more gently, reducing mechanical damage to the plant material and the resulting loss of leaf mass, which carries most of hay's nutritional value. It can be used standalone for turning, or in combination with a rotary rake for final swathing before baling.
