RDM 135

The Celmak RDM 135 is a rotary mower designed for mowing grass on meadows and pastures, the smallest model in the RDM range of rotary mowers. Mowing is handled by 2 rotary drums fitted with a total of 8 blades, ensuring a clean, even cut without uprooting plants. Working width is 1,350 mm, suited to smaller and medium meadows and pastures. Machine dimensions are 2,425 × 920 × 1,100 mm (length × width × height), and weight is 360 kg — the lightest model in the RDM line. The machine is driven via the PTO shaft turning at 540 rpm, with a working speed of 8 to 10 km/h. Operation requires a tractor of just 30 HP, making this mower accessible even to smaller farm tractors. Working output is 1.5 hectares per hour. Compared to the larger RDM 165 model in the same range, the RDM 135 has a narrower working width (1,350 mm vs. 1,650 mm) and fewer blades (8 vs. 6, arranged differently across the two drums), but requires a weaker tractor (30 HP vs. 40 HP) and is lighter (360 kg vs. 400 kg). This combination of lower weight and a more modest tractor-power requirement makes the RDM 135 a practical choice for smaller farms and owners of compact tractors who don't need maximum working width. The rotary two-drum cutting principle, rather than a classic sickle-bar, ensures stable operation even on slightly uneven terrain, with less frequent blade sharpening needed compared to older mower types, and mounting on the standard 540 rpm PTO shaft makes it compatible with a wide range of tractors without needing extra gearboxes or drivetrain adaptation.
