KRPAN 5 SI

The Krpan 5 SI winch is defined by robust, proven construction, carefully selected materials and high operational safety, with every unit undergoing 100% effective final inspection before delivery. Pulling force is 50 kN, or 5 tonnes, greater than the smaller 4SI model, allowing bulkier logs to be hauled and work in more demanding terrain. Braking force is 62.5 kN, ensuring safe operation and load control when descending a slope. The winch ships with a 70 m steel cable, 10 mm in diameter, thicker than the 4SI model's cable, in line with the increased pulling force. Operation requires a tractor of 33 to 44 kW, or 45 to 60 HP. Winch dimensions are: width 1,415 mm, depth 490 mm, height with protective mesh 2,300 mm, and without protective mesh 1,480 mm — somewhat larger than the 4SI model, in line with its reinforced construction. Weight without steel cable is 326 kg. The winch mounts to the tractor in hitch categories Cat 1 and Cat 2, allowing use on a wider range of tractors compared to the 4SI model, which is limited to Cat 1. Thanks to its increased pulling force while retaining the robust, proven construction, the Krpan 5 SI is a reliable choice for moderately demanding log-hauling tasks, for private forest owners and smaller professional users alike who need more power than the base model.
