CAPAMTAM4

The Yurdusar CAPAMTAM4 is a mounted inter-row cultivator with 4 working units (derived from 64 C-tines, at the standard 16 per unit), intended for hoeing rows of sugar beet, cotton, sunflower, corn, soybean, tomato, beans, tobacco, melon, watermelon, sesame and other row crops on somewhat larger areas than the CAPAMTAM2 and CAPAMTAM3 models. Drive is transmitted via the tractor's PTO shaft to the final drive, while each working unit operates through a system of sprockets and gears connected via a shaft. Working width is 40 to 45 cm per row, the same across the whole series, and working depth is 10 to 15 cm. Overall machine height is 240 cm, the same as the CAPAMTAM3 model, despite the additional, fourth working unit - the difference between these two models is reflected primarily in weight and tine count rather than overall frame height. The cultivator protects the soil from weeds by breaking up the surface layer, loosens the soil and allows aeration, helping the soil retain moisture and prepare for better plant rooting, saving 70 to 80% of labor compared with manual hoeing. Machine weight is 593 kg, more than the CAPAMTAM3 model (500 kg), reflecting the additional working unit and reinforced frame construction. Operation requires a tractor of 50 to 55 HP, a higher range than the CAPAMTAM3 model (40-50 HP), in line with the additional working unit. Optionally, as with the whole series, a fertilizer spreader or furrow-opening device can be fitted to the machine. The CAPAMTAM4 is a suitable choice for medium-sized farms cultivating four rows per pass, requiring a more powerful tractor than the smaller models in the series.
