AlpStorm 4650

The Lavrih AlpStorm 4650 is a slurry tanker from the upper segment of the AlpStorm line, with an actual tank volume of 4,623 litres (the nominal model designation is rounded to 4650). The tank is built with robust construction and quality welding, sized 1,250 × 3,550 mm, with a 5 mm wall thickness. Hot-dip galvanizing and zinc passivation are carried out in Austria, at a facility in Bergheim near Salzburg, ensuring long-lasting corrosion protection in contact with slurry. Wheels are 500/50-17” tyres, mounted on a Q70 × 1700 axle. Brakes are hydraulic, and slurry transfer is handled by a MEC 4000 pump, the same as the smaller 4050 model. The tank has one compartment. Like the other models in the AlpStorm line, the AlpStorm 4650 offers a robust drawbar construction, including hydraulic drawbar lifting available on the larger models in the series, side-spreading capability, quick side suction connections, additional lighting for better machine visibility in all working conditions, and the option to fit a distributor. A hydraulically controlled spreading cannon is also available as an option, for spreading slurry from a safe road without driving on the field's slope. Compared to the smaller 4050 model, the AlpStorm 4650 has a considerably longer tank (3,550 mm vs. 2,950 mm) and larger tyres (500/50-17” vs. 15/55-17”), providing greater volume and stability when transporting a full load, while compared to the largest 5250 model it's somewhat more compact and lighter, suited to mid-power tractors. The availability of hydraulic drawbar lifting on this and the larger models eases maneuvering when hitching and unhitching the tanker, a feature the smallest 3250 model doesn't offer as standard. This combination of greater volume and added handling conveniences makes the AlpStorm 4650 a suitable choice for farms with organized, regular transport of larger quantities of slurry.
