The Turan two-furrow plow, 12 inch, in its low-clearance (NK) design, is a simpler, lower version of the standard two-furrow plow from Turan's range, intended for work in conditions where a lower implement profile is desirable - for example working beneath fruit tree canopies, in confined spaces, or with tractors offering less lift height. The plow has 2 bottoms, with a clearance (frame-to-ground gap) of 60 cm and a spacing between bottoms of 50 cm, while working width is 30 cm. Compared with the standard VK design of the same nominal size (12 inch), the NK variant has a considerably more compact frame geometry, adapted to specific working conditions where machine height is a constraint. The plow attaches to the tractor via a standard three-point hitch, and standard equipment includes two coulters, which pre-cut the soil ahead of each bottom for a cleaner, more even furrow turn, as well as deflectors, which direct the thrown soil and prevent uncontrolled scattering. The bottoms are fitted with replaceable shares and mouldboards, standard across Turan's plow line, easing maintenance and extending implement life through simple replacement of wear parts. Thanks to its lower clearance, this design is particularly suited to smaller tractors and to plots with obstacles above implement level, while the lower bottom count (2) makes the machine lighter and better suited to more modestly powered tractors than the three-furrow designs in the same range. Its compact construction, simple hitching and standard coulter-and-deflector equipment make this plow a practical solution for smaller farms for whom a two-furrow width is sufficient, with the added benefit of a low profile wherever that matters.
